Meet the Board of Directors of PRAY CALIFORNIA.
Maryal Boumann
DIRECTOR
MARYAL HAS SERVED in leadership with different local, state, and national ministries for decades. Last year, the LORD expanded her and PRAY CALIFORNIA’S tent pegs internationally.
She has been the Director of PRAY CALIFORNIA since 2008 to the present, completely relying on our Helper, HOLY SPIRIT. She is an actively ordained pastor, produced and hosted a local cable TV show called ‘Voices of Hope’, served as a Hospital Chaplain, was certified through Sacramento Law Enforcement Chaplaincy, is the California Pro-Life Liaison with ‘The Justice Foundation’, is on the Advisory Board for Strategic Prayer in Australia, and facilitates a monthly, international Call for Israel (with PRAY CALIFORNIA representing the USA) sponsored by the International Christian Embassy of Jerusalem. Maryal is also on her Church’s Prayer Team, knowing the importance of not forsaking the gathering of the brethren.
She and the Board of Directors are the Prayer covering for Pastors in Kenya, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, also connected with beloved Intercessory Partners in Israel, and are participants of Global Net TV. HER PASSIONS are for people to know and experience the LOVE, PEACE, TRUTH, JOY, and SALVATION of the LORD led by HOLY SPIRIT; for God’s People to understand the importance and power of Yeshua/Jesus’ Name and also fervent prayer; to raise up intercession and worship; to spread the Gospel and Hope; to help encourage and unify the Body of Christ per John 17:21-23; to see an end to abortion; and to encourage and edify others to walk in their divine destiny here on earth as it is in Heaven. “May it be so, Precious Father!”
Wolfgang Kovacek
ASSISTANT DIRECTOR
Wolfgang has been a dedicated Board Member of PRAY CALIFORNIA since 2004, demonstrating his commitment to the organization’s mission. In 2012, he took on the additional role of Assistant Director, where he now serves under the exceptional leadership of Director Maryal Boumann.
Combining his technical expertise with his passion for the organization, Wolfgang manages crucial operational aspects of PRAY CALIFORNIA. He skillfully handles the website design and distribution of the weekly newsletter, ensuring subscribers receive timely and well-presented communications that reflect the organization’s values and objectives.

David Andrade
BOARD MEMBER
David Andrade has been a part of PRAY CALIFORNIA from the very beginning including being the Interim Director in 2007. He has multiple, vast and varied talents, both spiritually and in the natural. David is a Pastor with strong apostolic and prophetic giftings, and a servant’s heart as he serves this Ministry as Legal Secretary and as Global Outreach Pastor. In the role as a Church Planter, he has raised capital for ministries, helps solve problems, has authored and executed strategic growth plans for many non-profit organizations. He has served as a Radio Host, a Staff Writer for the LA Voice, he founded the magazine Real Life and Times, and was responsible for organizing the huge international gathering at the Rosebowl on 11/11/11.
David is a Host and Teacher on The Cross TV and on The Way TV (middle east networks), and helped organize and facilitate numerous Crusades in other nations. He has served as the executive overseer of RTV International Ministries, a global missions organization with headquarters in Pasadena. Those are just a few of David’s Kingdom achievements. He and his wife Kathy continue to unite and serve Pastors and the Body of Christ, for God’s glory!
Amy Stoehr
BOARD MEMBER
Amy Stoehr is a joyful worshipper, wife, mother of five, grandmother of Olivia, faithful friend, encourager, teacher, leader, intercessor, ambassador of reconciliation, lover of Israel and the Jewish people and an ordained minister. She considers it a great honor to serve alongside her husband Matthew as the founding pastors of The River Family Church in North San Diego (since 1987). They are committed to obeying the Lord, unity and awakening in the Body of Christ, making disciples who multiply and to equipping the Church to arise to who God has made us to be in Him. She is passionate about loving people well, helping all generations and people groups experience God’s love and purpose and understand the urgency of the hour we are in. She is called to ignite, mobilize and unite believers of every age in prayer, from a place of abiding relationship and partnership.
Amy establishes and trains personal intercessory teams for people in ministry. She leads multiple groups of mothers who are strategically praying for their adult children. She serves on the core team of Transform USA’s weekly national prayer call, Prayer Force, Igniting Prayer Action, The Relationship Resource, and Prayer at the Heart. She considers herself a passionate watchman on the wall of prayer for California and is committed to seeing the Lord’s purposes for His Golden State come into manifestation.
Over the past four years Matt and Amy have stewarded the vision of building River Gardens, a unique regional gathering place for the Body of Christ, used for prayer, discipleship, worship, evangelism, weddings and community events. They are planning for these Gardens to be reproduced in multiple areas of their city and in many cities in the U.S.
Most of all, Amy is passionate about the living Word, moment by moment, intimately abiding with our precious Holy Spirit, loving without measure and living in the reality of Jesus’ prayer in John 17:20-23. She is called to help people walk in oneness with the Holy Spirit and each other, as ambassadors reconciling the world to a new creation relationship with the Father, Jesus, and Holy Spirit.
Dr. Kate Hartman
BOARD MEMBER
Since encountering the Lord Yeshua-Jesus in a dream in 1994, Dr. Kate Hartman has dedicated her life to knowing the Lord intimately, honoring God, and fulfilling the commission entrusted to her.
Kate has been involved with Pray California since 2015. In addition to serving on the Board of Directors, she represents Stanislaus County, leads the Pray California Bible Read-a-Thon on Monday nights, and provides the Hebrew Words of the Week for the newsletter based on the upcoming parashot.
Empowered by the Holy Spirit, Dr. Kate possesses over 25 years of experience as an ordained minister and multiple doctoral degrees. She founded a Christian university and a
homeschool support program. She has also planted and pastored churches alongside her husband, Greg.
Additionally, Kate has served on various apostolic leadership teams both domestically and internationally, where she has established and trained leaders in areas such as prayer, inner healing, worship dance, outreach, discipleship, education, and community development. She has spoken at conferences for pastors and leaders, led revival services, and organized Messianic events across five continents through her traveling ministry, Life Spirit Fire Ministries, and also with IRIS Europe.
Other Team Members are working in close relationship with the Board of Directors.
Laura Kitay
HOSPITALITY CHAIR and Co-director of Capitol Prayer
Laura Kitay has been involved with PRAY CALIFORNIA for over eight years. She is our Hospitality Chair and Co-director of Capitol Prayer with Trisha Phillips. Laura is also the Public Relations Representative for Sacramento City Aglow Lighthouse. She’s an ordained minister and has conducted Christian women’s mini-retreats, taught bibles studies, and has pastored at senior living facilities. She currently participates with Chain Breakers Dance Worship Team, also our Flag and Dance Team.
Using her creativity and talents to glorify the Lord and inspire the Body of Christ, Laura enjoys writing poetry, Holy Spirit inspired songs, playing guitar, and her first book is soon to be published! She has 3 beautiful daughters and 2 spunky grandchildren. Laura is a beautiful blessing to all of us and to this Ministry!
